Sab toh pehla ta mere walon, Sat Sri Akal Ji sab nu te tuhadi saari team nu. For those of you that don't know me, well my name is RS Chauhan, and I'm just an new artist from Surrey, BC. I started taking interest in music when I was in 8th grade after listening to and being inspired by the Late Kaka Bhaniawala. He's my all time favorite. I love his music!! And still doing what I love!
"Kurta Pajama" became a smash hit tune. How was the experience like working with artists like Preet Hundal and Ikka?
First of all, I want to thank everyone around the world for all the love and support since day one. Working with Ikka was like a dream come true, because I was already his fan and working with him was an amazing experience. He's an amazing human being, and my big brother who's always helped me in this field. Preet Hundal paji is my all time favorite producer. He's very talented and an amazing producer. I always wanted to work with him and I'm glad that the day came and I had the chance to work with him.

Who has influenced you into singing? Do you have any idols?
I would say my father Surjit Singh, who is also involved in music and has a lot of knowledge about music, has influenced me into singing. He supported me since I started music; he believed in my voice and talent. Idols I would again say my father and the Late Kaka Bhaniawala who is my all time favorite. I also love listening to Nusrat Fateh Ali Khan Ji.
For singers today it's becoming really important to make a video for their audio track. Do you think looks and personalities are more important than talent?
Yes, it's very important to make a music video for your track, because people want to see who you are and how you look and who they are listening to. I don't personally think looks and personalities matter, but it all depends. Everyone has there own thinking about it, but I think talent does matter though.
Tell us something about your upcoming material and collaborations. Who are you working with next?
There are many projects lined up, but I won't call out any names yet. We're still planning stuff, but I'm sure very soon we will announce the name of my upcoming track and who's on it as well.
How would you describe yourself using only one word?
Very "Humble"
Tell us something unique about yourself that we don't already know.
I can cook real good food! Almost any Punjabi dish!
Who would you include into The Hall of Fame of Punjabi Music?
I would first include the living legend Gurdas Maan Ji, since I'm a huge fan of his voice! Kuldeep Manak Ji is also my favorite. Will also include Nusrat Fateh Ali Khan Ji, Surjit Bindrakhia Ji, Sabar Koti Ji, Surjit Khan Ji, Ranjit Kaur Ji and many more.
